Chief of Operations

John is a natural-born entrepreneur, proven leader of operations, and previous long-term business analyst. He has led the operations and their development for various companies in diverse industries. He founded Swell Consulting Co to translate his understanding of modern commerce to the benefit of mission-driven clientele.

Previously, John founded Unify Health and EDS Portal — companies that offered Healthcare Consulting, Risk Adjustment services, and Medicare EDI file secure submission. Before attending USC’s Keck School of Medicine and re-founding USC’s Surf Team, John earned his BS from the University of Southern California.

John now lives in the Eastern Sierra mountains to pursue his passions of skiing, mountain biking, and sometimes purposefully letting his 3 dogs get lost between the trees to let them explore, live life, and have a sense of freedom.

Chief of Marketing & Content

Ryan is a steward of the written word. Being a seasoned copywriter, editor, and digital marketer, he leads our language-centric content development and strategy.

Additionally, he holds extensive journalistic experience as the former Managing Editor of Soft Punk, as well as being a Staff Writer for Mixmag. Prior to magazine writing and editing, Ryan was the Media Director for Do-It-Ourselves, a philanthropic music festival and artist collective. He completed his undergraduate degree at UC Santa Cruz, studying history and politics, before earning an MA in cultural reporting and criticism at NYU.

He lives along the central coast of California, where his free time is spent farming with his partner, surfing with his friends, and hiking with his dog Willow.

Chief of Growth & Design

Edwin is a power house of production and editing with a vision for the future. After graduating from USC Cinema Production, Edwin co-founded Hunt House Pictures LLC, a boutique branding and production company in 2011.

As a commercial Director and Director of Photography, he has worked with numerous large clients, such as: Uber, Marriott, Adidas, Belkin, WeWork, Sleep Number, Coachella, Chase, American Eagle, Virgin America, and Disney.

He currently resides in Charleston, South Carolina with his wife, two kids, and two dogs.
